With,-tuna,pasta,cheese,hamburger ect.I am really broke and want to get groceries instead of junk food all the time and make big dishes that will last and not cost much.Oh with canned veggies too maybe? Anything would be appreciated :)Can you give me some cheap recipes that are good?
Generally speaking, the more you cook from scratch and the less you rely on pre-made ingredients, the cheaper your finished meals will be. So, make as much as possible using basic ingredients, like flour, eggs, meat, pasta - not store bought ready to go dinners. It'll be way healthier, too. And don't forget to shop for things on sale! One recipe I rely on for a quick, easy and cheap entree is Impossible Pies. They use Bisquick, eggs, milk, cheese and whatever else you want , like broccoli, ham, chicken, hamburger...you get the idea. See the link below for a goldmine of Impossible Pie recipes. Save up leftover veggies in the freezer, then when you have about a cup or two, use them in one of the pies. There is probably an Impossible Pie recipe for whatever ingredients you have on hand. Can you give me some cheap recipes that are good?

also, I would suggest visiting www.hillbillyhousewife.com for excellent information on budget meal planning and prep. The recipes there are very frugal.
I make a type of hamburger goulash that we ate a lot as kids. It is economical and very tasty.
1-1/2 lb of ground beef,
1 chopped onion
1/2 green pepper, chopped (optional)
1 large can of tomatoes (either whole, break them up or or diced)
8 oz of tomato juice (more if you like it somewhat soupy)
1 lb of elbow macaroni (or other small pasta)
salt and pepper to taste
Brown hamburger and onion together, drain
Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain thoroughly.
Mix all ingredients together, heat through.
Serve with vegetable of choice.
My sons love this recipe.
Tuna caserole is my kids favorite simply cook the macaroni drain add tuna frozen green peas and 1 can of creamy soup (anykind you like) stir together and bake in a baking pan for about 20 min.top with shredded cheese and bake a few minutes longer. COST: 2-3 dollars serves 4-6
1 can corned beef and 1 can of mixed veggies put together and heat in a pan add pepper, garlic powder, and nut meg to your desired taste. Add 1-1 1/2 cups of Katchup. mix and simmer for a few min. pour over cooked rice. Top with fried onions Cost around 3 dollars serves 4
Eat more beans and vegetables. They are cheap and good with a little seasoning. Beans and rice just need a little onions and pork. Cabbage is great cooked with ham. Sloppy joes are great if you just use the cheap brand of bar-b-que sauce. Catfish nuggets are very cheap, and they can be fried, or baked. Any of these are cheap, healthy and you might lose a few pounds in the process!
here's a good easy meal:
Appetizer:
green beans and bacon. heat them up in the microwave and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper.
Main Course:
make some mini hamburgers. quick and easy.
Dessert:
melt some chocolate in a bowl and dip strawberries in it.
hope this helps ;)

you can cook canned tuna with pasta and canned tomatoes. i would recommend saute-ing some garlic and onions in butter first, and then adding the tuna, tomatoes, and pasta. this pretty cheap, but quite edible.
sautee some onions green peppers whatever seasonings you have and a can of tuna you can add black pepper a small amount 0f adobe and make a pot of rice
Don't use canned vegetables. Get the frozen ones if you don't want fresh. Good Luck!!!
