Does anyone know any dirt cheap recipes?

Does any one know any really cheap easy recipes?

I am pretty broke right now, and I need some really dirt cheap meals to hold me over.

Not looking for recipes pasted off the net. CheersDoes anyone know any dirt cheap recipes?
migoreng noodles and dim sims (best noodles in the world)

you can get a 5 pack for $2.50 and home brand dim sims for like $4, it'll last you 10 meals if you get 2x5 packs and cost like $9. It is SO tasty AND fills u up so well and it can all be made in the microwave. (+ soy sauce and sweet CHILI sauce makes it taste extra good)

Home brand noodles are usually like 40c each

other then that pasta is always cheap, 50c a packet and that will last you 3 meals and pasta sauce you can pick up for under $2. Creamy ones are like $3 and if it's just you you could get up to 4 meals for $3.50

ummmmm tuna and rice is tasty and it'll fill you up, that should cost like $2.50 for a tin and $2ish for a bag of rice. The rice will last you like 10 meals and the tuna can last like 3 meals per tin. Throw in some frozen vegies for variation.

packet soup is another cheap alternative. The homebrand basic ones can be bought for like $50c each and a loaf of bread is anywhere between $1-$4.

Also i suggest you go shopping about 1hr-30min before the store closes because they usually have ALOT of reduced things

hope that helpsDoes anyone know any dirt cheap recipes?
Buy a big bag of long grained white rice. and a variety of boullion cubes. These 2 ingredients will provide for many soups. throw in whatever veggies and meat you can find, dandelions to sardines or bologna or spam ,leftover kfc or burger, fresh or dried onions and garlic. Pigeon is Squab! Your tastes are the limit! Fried rice is cheap and quick with a few scrambled eggs for protein , or throw in a can of chili and some cumin with a bit o catsup or tomato sauce and your on to Spanish rice.wrap it in a burrito with re-fried beans and your cookin! Sugar and cinnamon gets you close to rice pudding .

You're on your own for fruits and veggies. but you'll get a better deal in a farmers market if you can negotiate.

Some folks Dumpster Dive but it usually isn't necessary if you're frugal. If you have a friend whos in a similar situation bartering and sharing bring diversified ingredients. turnips and beets stretch well if you remember those greens aren't trash!

A bag of flour and you're good for pancakes, bisquits, muffins, pasta, loaves, and cakes with a little yeast and effort! Cinnamon and sugar again Bread pudding!

It's also good for thickening the gravy you make from the flavor of a burger or bacon drippins you're thinking of throwing out.

Learn to fish! Dredge in flour and flop into that hot bacon fat you saved! A whole chicken? Arroz con Pollo !

Ramen is cheap and easy but healthy it's not! Neither is the boullion actually but broth beats water in most cases. As for those puddings they both spice up pretty cheap with raisins %26amp; nuts.

Easy Cheap and Yummy Casserole

1 (28 ounce) can baked beans

2 (16 ounce) packages hot dogs, sliced

1 (7.5 ounce) package corn bread mix

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Pour the can of beans into a 9x13 inch baking dish so they cover the bottom. Arrange hot dog slices so they cover the beans as completely as possible. If too much juice seeps through to the cornbread, it will take longer to cook. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions. Spread the batter evenly over the hot dog layer.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until cornbread is cooked through. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean. serves 8

buy packed noodles in different flavors. these are not only nutritious but also fortified with vitamins and minerals.

fresh eggs - you can boil or fry

dried italian sausages or salami - slice thinly for your every meal

rice - plain boiled rice

bottled sauteed shrimp fry paste (spoonful of boiled rice and 1/2 tsp of paste)

thinly sliced prosciutto

oatmeal sprinkled with crush pork chicharones (cracklings)

some asians, in times of depression make corn grits porridge and served with dried salted squid tampered to spread and soften its meat grain to hairy texture. corn so high in fiber will leave you the feeling of fullness the entire day and not make you feel week.

Bread Fritters;

Go to the bakery section of the store where you normally buy bread.

Ask the baker for an ';unbaked'; loaf of bread.

He must put exactly the same amount of dough he would have used to bake a bread with in to a plastic bag for you, and it would cost no more than a loaf of bread.

Take that home and in a pot warm some cooking oil to about half the depth of the pot. (Smaller pots take less oil than bigger ones do)...

The oil temperature should be medium hot. (About half the heat that the stove plate will go)

Now cut from the unbaked dough a slice about the size of your palm, and with a little water on your fingers (to prevent the dough from sticking to your hand), stretch out the dough in all directions until it is about the size of your whole hand including the fingers. That brings the cutting of dough to about twice the size it was when you cut it....

Now with care, drop the stretched out dough in to the hot oil.

It would rise almost instantly.

Fry it in the oil until it is golden brown all over, taking care to turn it over occasionally.

It would be puffy and crisp when done.

With a large ladle or sieve, scoop out the bread fritter and place on an absorbent kitchen towel to rid it of most of the oil still on it.

Repeat this process until all the dough is done.

These bread fritters are extremely filling, and can be cut open and filled with almost anything from grated cheese to minced meat to cold processed meat, syrup or jam.

Try it, you will probably have some left over for two or three days, which you can take to work if you like....

Bread fritters can be frozen and warmed up again if you have made too much, but the dough cannot, so rather make the whole lot and freeze what is left over for another day. If you decide to freeze them, do so without a filling. Fillings should always be made fresh.

Milk treat meal

You will need

3 eggs 2.5 ml salt

250 ml Cake flour Water

Boiling milk 2 bits of Cinnamon bark (optional)

Cinnamon sugar

Beat eggs and salt together. Add cake flour and beat well. Add a little water to turn this in to a thick paste. Knee the dough to become thick and elastic. Roll out on a floured plank until about 6mm thick.Cut in to thin strips. Boil these strips in milk for about 25 minutes (use 250 ml milk per person) Boil without burning until the dough is cooked through. Reduce heat if needed Add cinnamon bark while boiling if you like cinnamon bark, that is. Dish up as if it were a soup and sprinckle with a mixture of cinnamon powder and sugar. Enjoy hot.

OK, I won't say ramen, because that's not a meal.

Get a box of Velveeta shells and cheese (maybe $2 at Wal-Mart), 8 oz. 70/30 burger ($2), and a packet of taco seasoning. Make the mac and cheese, make the taco meat, combine. It serves at least 4 people.

Get a box of Zatarains bean/rice mix. Any of them. Put them in a tortilla with a little cheese. Done!
Corn beef hash is cheap all you need is tin off corn beef , onion potatoes and oxo. and some veg to go with it . Boil potatoes and onion together . When cooked mash the corn beef in it and add a bit off oxo . put in dish cook in oven to brown a bit and serve with veg yummi yummi
Its not the healthiest but boxed mac and cheese. I could add tuna and peas and it would be tuna noodle casserole. Or I added some brown hamburger and green beans and make a casserole out of it. I also ate lots of baked potatoes and cold cereal.
Ahh, I've been there before....
